IT Support Specialist

We are looking for a IT Support Specialist who has a get it done approach to their work and has the desire and ability to get problems solved. This person needs to understand that their ability to lend their desktop support and technical troubleshooting expertise to everyone has a direct impact to the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a variety of roles encompassing IT infrastructure and desktop support.  Responsibilities include:

  •  Setup, mobile devices, computers and servers
  • Copier maintenance, purchasing, and contracts
  • Firewalls, content filtering and other network security – setup and maintenance and upgrades
  • VLAN setup and maintenance of switches
  •  Wireless network – both for WMS and office
  •  Maintain/support/maintain network infrastructure
  • 150 scanners for wireless network with maintenance and setup
  • E-waste inventory and disposal
  • Purchasing, sizing, quoting all computers, notebooks, server, printers, scanners, copiers, Mac, wireless and support and maintenance
  •  Support remote users – domestic and China
  • Support local users with computer (PC and Mac) related issues including hardware and software
  • Network and local printer support and maintenance
  • Phone system, voice mail, call accounting – maintenance, setup, add/deletes/changes
  • Maintaining and updating 22 servers – Windows and Mac
  • Managing all maintenance contracts
  •  All network backups
  •  Checking computer related invoices
  •  Postal machine maintenance and contracts
  • Do all hardware and software upgrade (servers, routers, wireless, workstations)
  • Help support other IT personnel
  • Setup new employees

What you will need:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience
  • Experience in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting (or equivalent training and/or education necessary)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Windows Servers, SQL servers, Hyper-V, and Office 365, Mac OS.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, high stress environment with minimal direction
  •  Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies
  •  Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
  •  Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support
