Quality Control Inspector Level 2 - Los Angeles, CA
Summary:
The QC Inspector Level 2 ensures that Feit Electric inspection team is accurate and timely. They monitor and train the inspection team to ensure accuracy and that proper procedures are followed. They understand our products, quality requirements and data structures and continuously improve upon them.
Duties Include: (but not limited to)
- Check, authorize and execute data uploads in the QA Database program (which in-turn updates item dimensions and specifications in company records).
- Track Product changes through our ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process and ensure that dimensions and specifications are updated as appropriate, usually when the old inventory has been consumed.
- Send packaging specifications to new vendors to ensure consistency of dimensions.
- Thoroughly evaluate New Product QC samples and report findings within 24 hours.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvements projects throughout the Department, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
- As the shifting work-load requires, the QC Inspector – Level 2 will perform backup for other job functions including normal inspection and rework.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills, ability to understand and improve upon computer programs and their use (such as the QA Database.)
- Ability to master the tools of the job including tape measure, calipers, scanner and scale.
- Ability to understand company data structures such as SCALE, Business Central, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Moderate bending and twisting.
- Close visual inspection.
- Walking between buildings.
- Writing on documents and simple computer work.
Additional Data:
Position is onsite Monday through Friday in our Pico Rivera, CA office. Position does not offer relocation package. No remote work available for this position. Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and be available to work overtime when needed.
Pay Range for the position is $22.00 per hour (non-exempt).
